What are the cookies?

Cookies are IT data, in particular text files, which are stored in the user's end device (e.g. computer, smartphone, laptop) and are intended for browsing websites. Cookies usually contain the name of the website from which they originate, their storage time on the end user device, as well as a unique number.

What are these 'cookies' used for?

Cookies are used for:

  • adapt the content of websites to the preferences and desired configuration of a given user;
  • optimizing the way you use websites - in particular, these files allow you to recognize the user's device and properly display the website (so that it is tailored to the individual needs of the user);
  • creating anonymous statistics that help to understand how users use websites - this is done to improve the structure and content of websites;
  • maintenance of the website user's session (after logging in) to allow the user to use the website without re-typing their login and password.

Types of cookies used on the offer site

Two basic types of cookies can be used in the service: 'session' cookies and 'persistent' cookies. Session cookies are temporary files that are stored on the user's end device till log out time, leaving the website or disabling the software (web browser). Persistent cookies are stored on the user's end device within time specified in the parameters of the cookies or until they are deleted by the user.

Deleting 'cookies'

The software used to browse websites (a web browser) usually allows for default storing of cookies on the user's end device. Of course, users can change their cookie settings. These settings can be changed by the user in such a way as to block the automatic service of 'cookies' in the settings of the web browser or to inform about their every transfer to the user's devices.

Details on the possibilities and methods of managing cookie files are available in the software settings (of the web browser).

Restrictions on the use of cookies may, however, prevent websites from working properly.
